Day 1
London - Peak District - Liverpool (Distance: 480 Kms)
Start your journey early from London as you head north to the enchanting Peak District, England's first National Park. This region is celebrated for its captivating landscapes, featuring rolling hills, serene lakes, and verdant woodlands, making it one of the country's most scenic areas. Explore the National Park and be enchanted by moors, woodlands, and peaceful valleys.
Your first stop will be the charming market town of Bakewell. Notably famous for its pretty courtyards, boutique shops, ambience, and, most particularly, the Bakewell Pudding or Tart. Take in the delightful atmosphere and indulge in this iconic local treat before continuing to Buxton, often called the "Gateway to the Peak District National Park." Explore ancient Roman spas, admire the grand Opera House, and enjoy some leisure time to explore further. Later in the day, we will check into our hotel for the night after our dinner.
Day 2
Llanberis - Liverpool (Distance: 190 Kms)
This morning, after breakfast, we will head to our main destination: Snowdon Mountain. Snowdon is Wales' highest mountain, reaching 1,085 meters (3,560 ft) above sea level. It is the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. Located in Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd, it is often described as "probably the busiest mountain in Britain" and is designated a national nature reserve for its rare flora and fauna.
Our journey begins at Llanberis station, in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. Here, you will embark on an awe-inspiring adventure by rack railway, ascending to the summit of Snowdon, Wales's highest mountain. As your train departs the station, it begins its ascent toward the clouds. This remarkable journey has been experienced by approximately 12 million intrepid travellers since 1896. If you are fortunate enough to have tickets on the "Snowdon Lily," your carriage will be propelled by one of the original 1896 steam locomotives or by a diesel train. You'll feel the noble engine as it pulls you up the mountain, past the picturesque waterfall in Llanberis. Over 45 minutes, you will be surrounded by breathtaking views and the experience of Eryri, the land of the Eagles. The vistas from the train as it traverses a ridge towards the Summit are genuinely awe-inspiring. You will be treated to one of the world's most spectacular panoramas. On exceptionally clear days at the Summit, you can even see as far as the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland and the Isle of Man. After descending to Llanberis, we will begin our journey back to Liverpool.
Discover one of Liverpool’s most magnificent landmarks, Liverpool Cathedral, a breathtaking example of Gothic architecture and one of the largest cathedral buildings in the world for a photo stop. Then experience the charm of the Royal Albert Dock, one of Liverpool’s most celebrated waterfront attractions. Wander alongside the historic red-brick warehouses, admire the striking dockside architecture and enjoy beautiful views across the River Mersey. The dock is now a vibrant destination filled with cafés, museums and waterfront character. Enjoy some free time to explore, take photographs and soak up the atmosphere of this iconic part of the city.
We then head for dinner before heading back to the hotel.
Day 3
Lake District - Windermere - Glasgow
After a delightful breakfast, our journey takes us through the enchanting landscapes of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. This remarkable region is renowned for its abundance of lakes, each offering its own unique allure, and it has been rightfully honoured as a World Heritage Site for its breathtaking vistas and lush woodlands. As we traverse this picturesque terrain, prepare to be captivated by the natural beauty all around you.
Our destination is Windermere, a town nestled amidst the splendour of the Lake District. Here, you can enjoy a serene boat cruise on Lake Windermere, an experience that promises tranquillity and magnificent vistas. The calm waters and scenic surroundings make this excursion a perfect moment to unwind and soak in the captivating ambience of the region with an ice cream.
We continue our journey towards the vibrant city of Glasgow. Upon our arrival in this dynamic urban center, we will have the chance to view the impressive Glasgow Cathedral from outside. This iconic cathedral stands as a testament to Scotland's rich history and enduring cultural heritage. Its grandeur and historical significance make it a captivating stop on our journey through Glasgow. Though we won't enter its hallowed halls, the cathedral's exterior offers a glimpse into its remarkable architecture and storied past.
Our exploration of Glasgow will then lead us to discover more of the city's cultural and historical treasures before we rest and prepare for the adventures that await us on the following day.
Day 4
Glasgow - Loch Lomond - Fort William - Glasgow (Distance: 360 Kms)
After breakfast, we board the coach and head to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, where Loch Lomond is located. On arrival at Loch Lomond, enjoy a stunning boat cruise; here, appreciate the picturesque views of the Highlands, whilst indulging in a warm cup of tea or coffee.
Loch Lomond, or "Lake of the Elms", is a freshwater Scottish loch which crosses the Highland Boundary Fault, often considered the boundary between the lowlands of Central Scotland and the Highlands. If you decide to forgo the Loch Lomond cruise, you can spend the time admiring the scenic beauty from the shoreline of the Loch, which gives you picturesque views of the national park.
We then make our way along the scenic route towards Fort William, to visit the Nevis Range. On arrival, we take a cable car (subject to operation) to Aonach Mòr on the Nevis Range. Standing at 1,345 metres above sea level, it is a popular mountain destination. We will also enjoy an Indian lunch here, surrounded by beautiful scenery. We will also stop at the Commando Memorial, a Category A listed monument in Lochaber, Scotland, dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. Additionally, we visit Neptune's Staircase, which is a flight of eight locks on the Caledonian Canal. This amazing feat of engineering raises the canal by 19m over a quarter of a mile of continuous masonry and takes a boat around 90 minutes to travel up or down the locks. Built by Thomas Telford between 1803 and 1822, it is Scotland's longest staircase lock flight. Then we drive back to the restaurant in the evening before returning to the hotel.
Day 5
Glasgow - Edinburgh - Falkirk
After breakfast today, we drive to Falkirk. Experience one of Scotland’s most remarkable attractions with a visit to the spectacular Falkirk Wheel — the world’s only rotating boat lift!
Your visit includes a ticket to experience the Falkirk Wheel, a wonderful opportunity to see this unique attraction up close. Surrounded by beautiful Scottish scenery, it’s the perfect place to take memorable photographs and appreciate one of the country’s most fascinating engineering achievements.
Then arrive in Edinburgh for lunch, then visit the famous Edinburgh Castle, with its fine state apartments and ancient Scottish crown jewels. Descend the hill and cross the Royal Mile to see St Giles' Cathedral and its crown-shaped spire. We then discover the charm and heritage of Edinburgh, Scotland’s historic capital, with a special whisky tasting experience celebrating one of the country’s most famous traditions. Sample Scotland’s iconic national drink and discover its distinctive flavours, aromas, and rich heritage. Learn more about the craftsmanship and traditions behind Scotch whisky while soaking up this fascinating city's unique character.
We will then head to the restaurant for an Indian dinner.
Day 6
Glasgow - Stratford-upon-Avon - London
After breakfast, we drive towards the charming historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of the world-famous playwright William Shakespeare.
Wander through picturesque streets lined with beautiful Tudor timber-framed buildings, browse the independent shops and soak up the atmosphere of this quintessential English market town. History comes alive around every corner, with Shakespeare’s Birthplace, historic landmarks and traditional architecture reflecting the town’s rich literary heritage.
Discover the life and legacy of William Shakespeare. Shakespeare’s Birthplace is a much-loved historic attraction where visitors can explore the house in which the famous playwright was born in 1564 and spent his early childhood. Situated on Henley Street, this charming timber-framed house offers a fascinating glimpse into life in Tudor England.Enjoy a ice cream after the visit before we drive back to London.

Other Advisories
Advanced age is no barrier to high altitude. For blood pressure patients who are well controlled with medication, the altitude is not a concern. Asthmatics can travel to high altitudes without any problems. High-altitude air is less polluted with particles that can cause an asthma attack. Epileptics who are well controlled with medication should be able to negotiate the altitude.
Pregnant women: There may be a certain risk for pregnancy even without pre-existing diseases over 2500-3000 metres. Caution is therefore advised if in doubt, please consult your doctor in advance.
Infants: Short-term stays at the mountain tops are unproblematic. Infants and young children are often unable to equalise pressure during descent and are therefore increasingly at risk of ear irritation. Regular swallowing (drinking, sucking on a bottle) during the descent can prevent the occurrence of irritation.
Because children can chill faster than adults, always pay attention to sufficient protection from the cold at high altitude. Sunglasses and a good sunscreen are necessary on the glaciers!
High altitude visits not recommended for:
Lung and heart patients who are already short of breath while at rest or when climbing stairs are advised not to stay at high altitude. Patients with angina pectoris or severely impaired performance with heart enlargement and heart failure should not visit high altitude. Coronary artery disease (angina pectoris) and heart enlargement with medical therapy should not visit high altitude. Patients with a pronounced risk profile for cardiovascular disease (smoker + high blood pressure + diabetes + high blood fats + overweight + occasional chest pain) should consult the doctor before visiting high altitude.
Do not stay at high altitude after having striated muscles or a stroke.

Passengers can be well prepared by ensuring they are carrying appropriate clothing, footwear and accessories. Passengers should also be aware that during the winter months most of the sightseeing will be in the dark as, in Scotland, the day becomes dark very early during winter. Passengers should consult with Star Tours at the time of booking if they are unsure.
We will accept light weight manual wheelchairs for travel, subject to them being capable of being stowed in the luggage hold of the coach. It is also essential that a family member is also on the tour to push their wheelchair. Star Tours will also request hotels for suitably equipped rooms; however, this is only on a request basis and cannot be guaranteed. It should be noted Ben Nevis is not fully accessible for a wheelchair user. Some part of Edinburgh will have cobbled streets, which may not be suitable for wheelchairs.
In most of Europe, the use of child seats in coaches is mandatory for children under the age of 12 or who are shorter than 150 cm. Children under 7 years old or less than 125 cm tall must use a child seat with a harness or a restraint system. Children between 7 and 12 years old or between 125 and 150 cm tall must use a booster seat or a seat cushion. It is the responsibility of the child's parent or guardian to provide the appropriate child seat for their child.
